So he drove out the man; and he placed at the east of the garden of Eden Cherubims, and a flaming sword which turned every way, to keep the way of the tree of life.

I wonder if Christianity hadn’t happened or died away early if Christians had actually admitted and faced up to Jesus and Paul being wrong about the end of the world right being round the corner, if we would look at the angels as mythological creatures – Gabriel, Micheal, etc. as well as the Giants (Nephilim) mentioned in Genesis and Numbers.

You didn’t even mention Behemoth or other creatures in Job, or the Nephilim of pre-Flood Greek-type gods-and-men sexual stores.

Or Jesus of Nazareth, either. 😉

Wrong you are, there. He existed (and so did the village of Nazareth in the first century CE). https://wordsofsocraticgadfly.blogspot.com/2020/02/lord-liar-or-lunatic-and-mythicist.html

Any contemporary independent evidence to support that statement?
And archaeological evidence for Nazareth – over and above the stuff by Dark or Bagatti or Alexandre?
Save me rushing over to the link you provided?

Okay, I relented and read the piece you wrote and one written by Pearce you linked.
What about his piece do you have objections to that you are adamant that Nazareth existed?
Or are you merely slating Salm because if his lack of academic creds?
If there is enough to cast doubt over Nazareth – and I agree with Pearce on this point and believe there is enough to at least question – then the title Jesus of Nazareth also comes into question.
This is not to automatically assume therefore that Jesus never existed, but it does raise some very interesting questions, don’t you agree?

How does the existence of Nazareth demonstrate Jesus existed? Does the reality of King’s Cross Station mean Harry Potter is real? Of course not.
