I don’t hold to God being angry for instance because I hold to impassibility. I also hold that Christianity is based on self-sacrifice with the greater giving Himself for the lesser and so we ought to do the same, and with someone willingly paying the price we should have all paid.
Looks like all you have is “I don’t like it. It offends my sensibilities.”
You are 100% correct. Your barbaric, human sacrifice-based superstition offends my sensibilities.
The fact the Christian belief system revolves entirely around an ancient human sacrifice to appease the righteous anger of a blood thirsty god is the chief evidence that Christianity is simply a copy-cat religion of ancient pagan religions. You can’t get more pagan, more barbaric, and more primitive than to believe that the blood of a human being, slaughtered in a human sacrifice, will appease an angry god who lusts for the shedding of human blood.
Christianity is no more “civilized” than the pagan practices of the Canaanites, Mayans, and Aztecs.
